Strengthening Impact Through Monitoring and Evaluation Visits
Don Bosco Tech Africa recently undertook three impactful Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) visits across Burundi, South Sudan, and Nigeria as part of the Global Program, phase 2. These visits are an essential part of our mission as they help in shaping the success of our programs by offering a clear picture of what is working, what needs improvement, and how we can better serve the communities. The visits are opportunities to listen, learn, and lead with intention.
During the visits the teams:
- Engaged directly with TVET centres, gaining a deeper understanding of the unique realities in each country.
- Assessed the progress and impact of ongoing initiatives.
- Identified challenges and co-created practical solutions with the local stakeholders.
- Engaged with public and private sector stakeholders hence strengthening partnerships and expanding opportunities for the young people.
The visits not only deepened collaboration with local partners but also enhanced the visibility of the Don Bosco Tech Africa Network. The visits served as a platform to offer guidance and support Don Bosco’s mission to skill and empower young people for a brighter, more inclusive, and sustainable future, leveraging the continental network of Don Bosco in Africa.
The visit to Burundi (AGL province) was conducted by Fr. Maximus Okoro and Joan Macharia from 27th July to 3rd August. In South Sudan (AFE-Sud delegation), Br. John Njuguna and Joseph Kamau carried out the visit from 27th to 31st July. The visit to Nigeria (ANN province) took place from 10th to 17th August, led by Patrick Wachira and Matthews Wafula. The dedication and collaboration of the countries and the DBTA teams have laid a strong foundation for continued growth and impact across our network.
