Voluntary National Review Meeting in Nairobi, Kenya

On March 3, 2020, Fr. Thomas Pallithanam, the Salesian representative at the United Nations, led a delegation of Salesians from AFE – Province who paid a courtesy call to the Council of Governors officials in Nairobi. Among the Salesians present at the brainstorming meeting were: Fr. TJ George, DBTA Executive Director; Fr. Fredrick Swai, AFE PDO Director and Mr. Sam Ebale AFE PDO Coordinator.

The Salesian team was hosted by Mr. Ken Oluoch, the Technical Lead Person on SDGs at the office of the Council of Governors and Clemency Dora, Knowledge Management Expert at the Council of Governors. The team held talks on Voluntary National Review (VNR) exploring various ways through which the Salesians in the AFE-Province can partner with the Civil Society Groups and the Government of Kenya. VNR aims to facilitate the sharing of experiences, including successes, challenges and lessons learned, with a view to accelerating the implementation of the SDG 2030 Agenda.

Later Fr. Anthony visited Don Bosco Tech offices at Don Bosco Youth Educational Services in Karen.
