On 23 August 2023, the Job Service Office (JSO) Burundi, organised the following events: National Media Campaign, JSO and Green Club open days, the Trade Fair Exhibition and the Biogas round table.
These events were an opportunity to reach out to young people in Burundi to consider choosing TVET as a career option towards enhancing youth employment opportunities and quality of life.
In addition, the Job Service Officer at the CFP Don Bosco Buterere also presented the revised JSO Quality Manuals to the key stakeholders including government representatives led by the Bujumbura Mayor, representatives of various government departments, NGO representatives and private sector representatives to popularise the document in Burundi.
Don Bosco Tech Africa was represented by Mr. Joseph Kamau who represented the DBTA management. In his speech, he urged the stakeholders present to open their doors for the youth graduates and ongoing students from the Don Bosco TVET institutions by offering them opportunities for industrial training, internships and job placement. He further urged young people in Burundi to consider TVET as a career option that has limitless opportunities.
