Visit to Institut de la Gombe 2 – Don Bosco

On Friday 13^th  May 2022, Fr. George TJ, Mr. Kamau, and Fr. Joachim Tshibangu paid a visit to Don Bosco Technical Secondary School Gombe. Apart from offering secondary education the school also offers technical courses such as Telecommunication, Construction, Electrical and Electronics. The institution is government-owned but has been entrusted to the Salesians of Don Bosco to run it. During the visit, they also met with the Job Service Officer of the centre who briefed them on the activities of the office.

On Saturday 14^th May, Fr. George TJ gave a presentation to the provincial council of ACC province. In his presentation, he gave a brief overview of Don Bosco Tech Africa, the theory of change of DBTA, the TVET strategic plan of ACC province, the TVET strategic plan of DBTA, a summary of the Labour Market Survey (LMS) of DRC-Kinshasa and the DBTech Africa Quality Management System.

He also had the opportunity to address the assembly of ACC conferes during the conclusion of the extraordinary visit of Fr. Alphonse Owoudou, the Regional Councillor Africa-Madagascar. It was an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of Don Bosco Tech Africa interventions in ACC Province as well as TVET among the conferes.
