SEED4AFRICA Hackathon
More than 80 Students from four Don Bosco TVET Institutions in Kenya (Makuyu, Embu, Marsabit and Kakuma) competed in the SEED4AFRICA hackathon on 27 and 28 February, having taken trainings on modern agricultural techniques. The winning team from Don Bosco Makuyu with its Aquaponics project will take part in the international competition in Italy later this year. All projects resolve challenges with inventive ideas; the project supports all projects to find funding. The social hackathon was coordinated by EGInA – European Grants International Academy a partner from Italy, Don Bosco Development and Outreach Network (DBDON) and Don Bosco Tech Africa. The project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme and involves three European countries (Italy, Belgium and Spain) and three African countries (Benin, Kenya and South Africa).
