The Economer General Br. Jean Paul Muller today at Don Bosco Tech Africa (DBTA), Nairobi held a meeting with the Management and staff.
Br. J.P Muller said DBTA cooperation with provinces in Africa has enabled the countries to make strides in development of TVET education, and is helping the provinces in the region open up for more opportunities of young people in the TVET sector.
He appreciated the capacity building initiatives which DBTA has undertaken so far in partnership with the donors and he hopes that this initiatives will enable TVET centers to be self-sustainable in the future.
“We need to now focus on new area for mitigation e.g. agriculture ICT integration in the TVET sector and upgrading for the teachers.
Br. J. P Muller said that whatever Salesians do has a “butterfly effect” in this case what DBTA does has to have an impact our lives and the continent as a whole. He encouraged the Don Bosco Tech Africa Team to continue working as a family and wished DBTA well in it’s undertaking.
