Don Bosco Tech Africa held its 4th Annual Stakeholders Assembly (ASA) in Maputo Mozambique.  The meeting which lasted for 5 days brought together the Provincial Technical Vocational Education Training (PTVET), National Job Service Officer (N-JSO) from Africa and Madagascar and other invited dignitaries among them Mr. Wolter, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mozambique, Mr. Steffen from Don Bosco Mondo, Fr. Patrick,  The GIZ delegation, African development bank delegation, and a representative from the African Union.

In his address to the participants, Don Bosco Tech Africa Executive director Fr. Fr. TJ also noted that the presentations from the provinces were inspiring and encouraging. This shows that the PTVET office is being recognised in the provinces. He urged the participants not to get tired of promoting and strengthening the PTVET office as through their efforts we can realise the following activities:

  • Formulation of Strategic plans
  • Conducting of round tables
  • Collaboration with industries
  • Visits to TVET centers
  • Initiate the process of implementing at least some projects
  • Greater awareness of TVET in the provinces etc.

While thanking all who made the ASA a success Fr. Tj thanked Fr. Fabio for his constant support and encouragement. Fr. Patrick, for his presence among us and for reminding us about some of the Salesian aspects and the synodal aspects of our calling and work. “Thank you for reminding us of our basic Salesian principles in our work with the young. Thank you for reminding us of the great importance we should give to accompanying the young. He said Fr. Patrick’s presence among us is a reminder to us of our place and position within the Province Youth Ministry sector. He expressed heartfelt appreciation to the host province. To Fr.
