Capacity Building Training for TVET Job Service Officers

Advocacy, Networking and Partnership Building Training for Job Service Officers

Don Bosco Tech Africa has organized training for Job Service Officers on Advocacy, Networking and Partnership Building. The training is taking place in Nairobi, Kenya and has brought together participants from Salesian TVET Centres in Africa-Madagascar region. The training is facilitated by Zipporah Maina and Moses Kiambuthi both of the Centre for Urban Rural Youth Development Programmes (CURYDP).

The aim of the training is to empower participants with knowledge and skills that will help them build strong and impactful networks and partnerships for the benefit of the young people.

During his opening remarks Fr. George Tharaniyil, Don Bosco Tech Africa Executive Director, highlighted expected outcomes of the training which are; to help participants to move away from their way of functioning in isolation, be able to form partnerships with like minded organizations, industries and stakeholders, to influence government policies, support sustainability and to have openness and receptivity to learn from others. Additionally, he reminded the participants that they are called to create an impact in society, specifically in the TVET centres.

One of the pillars of Don Bosco Tech Africa is Networking. Through networking and advocacy people are able to build efficient and successful partnerships with different stakeholders.
