Greening the Salesian TVET Centres intensifies in Madagascar
One of the interventions of the Don Bosco Tech Africa’s Green TVET project is to create awareness among the young people in the Salesian Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centers, the Local Communities, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and the General Public on the sustainable management of the environment. This is achieved through a mobile awareness team.
Amidst the Covid-19 global pandemic, the team in Madagascar is conducting their first-round trip on effective waste management practices. Improper waste management has serious environmental and health consequences. If it persists, it will undermine Africa’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This is the first step in a series of round trips planned to address other pressing environmental challenges.
