Don Bosco Youth Technical Institute Malawi Launches TVET Communication Strategy
On April 22, 2024, Don Bosco Youth Technical Institute, Lilongwe – Malawi unveiled its Communication Strategy, a comprehensive plan designed to effectively communicate its programs in alignment with the institution’s core mission of educating the youth and contributing to national development.
During the launch, Mr. Private Mchenga, the Principal Education Officer (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education, emphasized the role of the communication strategy in promoting awareness of Don Bosco Youth Technical Institute’s programs and supporting the government in achieving the 2063 goals.
Fr Michael Mbandama, the Provincial of ZMB province, highlighted the strategy’s importance in equipping youth with essential skills for a prosperous future and enhancing the institute’s engagement with stakeholders and beneficiaries.
The launch of the communication strategy positions Don Bosco Youth Technical Institute as the first TVET centre among the 11 countries implementing the Global Programme activities within the Don Bosco Tech Africa network, aiming to foster effective communication, collaboration, and empowerment opportunities for disadvantaged youths.
The event was attended by various partners, including the government, private and public stakeholders, various media houses, and the Archdiocese of Lilongwe. They all expressed their willingness to partner with Don Bosco in implementing the Communication strategy.
